Who we are

This website is operated by the Committee to Re-Elect Judge Draper (“the campaign,” “we,” “us”). This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use the site, how we use it, and the choices you have.

What we collect

We only collect personal information that you give us through one of the forms on this site:

  • Newsletter signup. Email address, and your name if you choose to provide it.
  • Endorsement form. Name and email address (required); title, organization, and a written note (optional). A consent checkbox indicating whether your name may be displayed publicly.
  • Contact form. Name, email, and message (required); phone number and reason for contact (optional/structured).

Like any website, our hosting provider (Vercel) automatically receives standard server logs — including IP address, browser type, and page URL — for security and operational purposes.

How we use it

  • Newsletter: to send you periodic campaign updates until you unsubscribe.
  • Endorsements:to verify your endorsement, follow up if needed, and — with your consent — display your name (and any title/organization you provided) on the endorsements page.
  • Contact messages: to respond to your inquiry.

Service providers we use

We use a small number of trusted third-party services to operate the site. Each one only receives the information needed to do its job:

  • Vercel— hosts the website. Receives standard server logs. Vercel privacy policy →
  • MailerLite— manages the newsletter list and sends newsletter emails. Receives newsletter signups (email and optional name). MailerLite privacy policy →
  • Resend— delivers endorsement and contact form submissions to our campaign inbox. Receives the contents of those form submissions. Resend privacy policy →

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not share it with third parties for advertising.

What's public vs. private

  • Public: if you submit an endorsement and check the consent box, your name (and any title/organization you provide) may appear on the endorsements page.
  • Private:email addresses, phone numbers, contact messages, and any optional “why I support” note from the endorsement form are kept internal to the campaign and the service providers listed above.

Your choices and rights

  • Unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the unsubscribe link in any newsletter email.
  • Withdraw an endorsement or correct any information we display: email us through the contact form and we will remove or update it promptly.
  • Request a copy or deletion of any personal information we hold about you: email us through the contact form. Depending on your state of residence, you may have additional rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) or the EU's GDPR.

How long we keep information

  • Newsletter subscribers: until you unsubscribe.
  • Endorsements and contact messages: through the end of the campaign cycle, plus a reasonable period for archival and legal compliance.

Cookies and tracking

This site does not use third-party advertising or behavioral tracking cookies. Next.js (the framework that powers the site) and our hosting provider may set strictly necessary cookies for basic site functionality. If we later add privacy-friendly analytics (such as Vercel Analytics), we will update this page.

Children's privacy

This site is intended for adult voters. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Security

We rely on our service providers' standard security practices, including encryption in transit (HTTPS). No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure; we encourage you not to send us information you would not want stored.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always at this URL, with the “last updated” date at the top.
